I remember healing Ramps HC once, after the first trash pull a lock life tapped and i used a greater heal to top them up. The greater heal landed just as the tank pulled. It was a wipe It's a really anoying spell as a healer, except when the lock uses it to bounce prayer of mending, then i love them long time. http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=33076

I've said this many, many times: Warlocks do not require a full health bar at the start of the fight We're fine with waiting out a heal for a few seconds and in the case of Affliction locks, we can keep ourselves alive through self-healing easily. Not to say that we don't appreciate the occasional heal (though a single renew/riptide/whatever the druid instant hot is called between pulls is all we really need). As far as I know, Life Tapping (even with the glyph) doesn't produce more threat than a casual glance in the mob's direction from a tank though.

Life tap doesn't produce any threat at all as I understand it, it's one of the few energy regains that doesn't - it's the healing that's sometimes proc'd by life tapping that causes threat.

From what ive read it does look like life tap doesn't produce any threat. So the threat im guessing must come from the fel armor health regen(which should be a pityful amount of threat). Not really been tanking much but im sure ive seen a mob run right through my DnD to a warlock a few times. When the mob hadn't been hit by the warlock at all. Ahh well..

Isn't death and decay like consecration in that it's a "DoT" effect that ticks on that area of floor? I could be talking out my ass as I've never really played a DK beyond messing on an alt. If so, a common occurance with consecration is if a mob runs through it fast, it's possible for them not to actually get hit by it at all - they have to be inside it during one of the ticks.

D&D indeed has a 'ticking' effect like Consecration, if a mob runs too fast, it might not get hit by the 'ticking' damage

The nice thing about DnD compared to Conc' is that you can place it. Helps you adjust if you, your ranged and the mobs are at strange angles to each other.
I dont think mobs can run fast enough not to get hit by DnD, and you have blood boil to make sure.
If a ranged dps is so stupid to nuke a target that hasnt reached the tank yet (s)he deserves to die anyway.

So that's who I've been quoting quietly to myself in heroics lately... /salute Cylandra!
